Reading Workshop
An approach to reading that involves whole group reading lessons, guided reading, small focus groups and individual conferences. Instruction is focused on the Common Core State Standards for English and Language Arts. Students are also provided the opportunity to read books they have selected from the classroom and school library. Phonics and word study is also embedded in the Reading Workshop.
Writing Workshop
Writing instruction is focused on the Common Core State Standards for English and Language Arts which includes writing, speaking and listening, and language.
Science Modules
A hands-on approach that is inquiry based for the students to be able to explore and investigate their world and utilize problem-solving skills.
Math
Instruction is focused on the math Common Core Standards. Teacher use enVisionmath 2.0, which is a technology-based curriculum designed to develop a strong mathematical foundation using workshop methods and the use of manipulatives and investigation.
Technology
All 3rd, 4th and 5th grade classes are 1 to 1 Chromebooks.

All 2nd grade will soon be 1 to 1 iPad's/

K and 1 all have at least 5 iPad's per classroom.

Every classroom also has a Smartboard and an LCD projector for the teacher to use with their district laptop or Chromebook.
